Chief Justice commissions ultramodern circuit court complex at Atasemanso

Chief Justice His Lordship Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah on Monday February 20, 2023, commissioned an ultramodern circuit court complex at Atasemanso in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region.

The facility, according to Justice Anim Yeboah was funded by the government through the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development in collaboration with the Common Fund Secretariat.

Addressing the gathering at the inaugural ceremony, Justice Anim Yeboah said construction of the court complex was in fulfillment of the strategic vision of the Judicial Service to enhance access to quality justice in the country.

“The move is also part of frantic efforts to addressing the deplorable state of physical infrastructure which has impeded justice delivery in the country”.

“The people of this beautiful country deserves better, likewise the judges and lawyers and other stakeholders who server their judicial needs, that’s the reason government is embarking on massive infrastructure projects in the judicial sector”.

Justice Anim Yeboah expressed worry over the hash working environment for some judicial service working and pledged government’s commitment to correct the problem adding the new circuit court complex is a testimony to that effect.

He commended the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for given special attention to the judicial sector.

For his part, the Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly KMA, Hon Samuel Pyne commended the Chief Justice for the project.

“We are grateful to the government and chief Justice for given us our fair share of the cake in terms of getting access to the courts”.

He emphasized that, it was apt for the government to decentralize access to justice as it was a primary human right and means of upholding all constitutional rights and freedoms.

He called on residents in the area to mindful of the court in the community and be law abiding to avoid any problems.
