One more suspect arrested over alleged stabbing of 27-year-old over Pankrono-Adabraka clash
One more suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of a 27-year-old man at Tafo-Pankrono in the Ashanti Region.
Owusu Banahene died on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, upon arrival at the hospital after he was found lying near a public toilet in the area.
Although police are investigating the exact cause of his death, the deceased’s relatives suspect that the incident is connected to an age-old conflict between rival youth groups from Adabraka and Pankrono.
Two of the suspects who were initially arrested in connection with the incident were remanded into police custody by the Tafo Circuit Court on Monday, October 23, 2023, to reappear on November 1.
According to OTECNews sources, police are still pursuing the prime suspect who allegedly stabbed the victim to death.
The deceased, Owusu Banahene, died upon arrival at the hospital on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, after he was attacked by unknown assailants.
The incident is connected to a long-standing feud between rival youth groups from Pankrono and Adabraka.
Police officers have been deployed to the area and are maintaining their presence with intensified patrols to avert a possible reprisal attack.
