Going through the procedures in a well formed queue, residents took time to know their blood pressure, body mass index and others before they reached the end point where they went through tests for the aforementioned medical conditions.
As at 12 midday, about 100 persons had gone through the process and taken medication ad well as medical advice from the well trained nurses and medical practitioners at the facility.
Chief Executive Officer:
Mrs Manuela Oppon known in private life as Eno Adwoa Animah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Famcare Clinic commended the residents for taking advantage of the screening exercise to test for their statuses.
She noted that as individuals it was best to know one’ status and one’s health condition every time.
This, she stated was important because one would surely get to know if something is forming up in the body and deal with it early before it becomes a crisis condition.
“At least every individual should visit the hospital once every year to do a full screening on conditions that easily affect us in the tropics so that one could be sure he or she is not in danger. It also helps to get treated for any disease or condition that would show up”, the CEO advised.
Residents:
Yaa Frimpomaa, a 40 year old trader from Dichemso thanked the CEO and doctors at Famcare for providing the opportunity for her to test to know her status.
“I’ve been given medication to help in dealing with malaria that showed in my blood and i am grateful that i got screened to know my status in other conditions”, Madam Frimpomaa stated.
Former player for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Asare Boateng a.k.a Chico Doo, who had turned 73 said he was happy that he had gotten the opportunity to test to know his Hepatitis status.
“I am glad that i got the opportunity to test to know my status in Hepatitis and others and i pray that the public take part in such medical exercises so they can get to know their statuses and treat ailments that show up early”, the Kotoko former played appealed.
