Ghana Baptist Convention opens ultramodern 36-Bed Hospital at Abuakwa

The Ghana Baptist Convention has commissioned a state-of-the-art 36-bed capacity hospital at Abuakwa in the Ashanti Region.

The Baptist University Medical Center, officially opened on Monday, August 26, 2024, will primarily serve students of the Ghana Baptist University and also provide healthcare services to the general public.

The medical center, constructed with support from the National Baptist Convention of America International Incorporated, offers a range of specialist services, including eye care, dental services, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department, Pediatric Specialist Department, Gynecology department, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, ultramodern surgical suite, imaging department among others.

Rev. Stephen Kwaku Forkuo, Director of Ghana Baptist Health Services, expressed gratitude to the development partners for their support, noting that the facility will significantly enhance healthcare delivery in the area.

Dr. Peter Yeboah, Executive Director of the Christian Health Association of Ghana, commended the Ghana Baptist Convention for the initiative and urged workers at the facility to work diligently and maintain the center’s high standards.

The hospital’s ultramodern equipment and skilled medical professionals will ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

The Ghana Baptist Convention’s investment in healthcare is a testament to the organization’s commitment to serving the community and improving the lives of Ghanaians.
