Suspicions of poor revenue mobilization at the Ejura Market have been confirmed, as a new joint  committee, set up by the Ejura Divisional Council and the Municipal Assembly , has amassed a whopping GH¢32,846 on its first day of work.

The committee, established by the chief of Ejura Divisional Council, Barimah Osei Hwedie II, and the Ejura-Sekyeredumasi Municipal Assembly, has taken over the management of the market, and the initial results are impressive.

According to Otec News reporter, Kwame Agyenim Boateng, who has been monitoring the situation, the market was previously generating between GH¢600 and GH¢10,000 on peak days of market activities.

The new committee’s revenue breakdown on its first day of work is as follows,, Barrier revenue, GH¢21,42, Market, GH¢11,42, making a Total of  GH¢32,846 received on Monday September 9 2024.
