Photos: Obuasi East Education Directorate Honors 15 Outstanding Teachers
Fifteen exceptional teachers in the Obuasi East district have been recognized for their dedication to improving teaching standards.
The Obuasi East Education Directorate, led by Mr. Kwabena Owusu Nketia, presented awards to the deserving teachers at a ceremony held at Christ the King Senior High School.
The event, attended by dignitaries including the Municipal Chief Executive for Obuasi East and past and present education directors, aimed to appreciate teachers’ hard work and commitment.
Mr. Nketia congratulated the awardees, highlighting their remarkable contribution to the district’s education, particularly through the successful implementation of the 100-day reading approach since September 2022.
The overall best teacher, Mrs. Esther Turkson, a kindergarten teacher at Boitey KG, expressed gratitude and emphasized the importance of parental support in maintaining discipline in schools.
District Chief Executive, Hon. Faustina Amissah, praised Mr. Nketia’s efforts in elevating education in the district and encouraged teachers to continue their excellent work.
This recognition ceremony demonstrates the Obuasi East Education Directorate’s commitment to valuing teachers’ voices and promoting quality education.
