The Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has sent an emotionally charged message to Asanteman, urging them to soberly reflect on the insults and the ridiculing of the health of Former President John Agyekum Kuffuor, by appendages of John Dramani Mahama, urging them to actively lead the charge against his return.
To Wontumi, who seemed visibly pained and worried by the NDC’s sudden ridiculing of the health of Mr. Kuffuor, wants Asanteman to rise up and unite in voting massively as a way of registering displeasure against John Mahama and his stooges.
He said, for Mr Mahama to have kept quiet and not calling his people to order, clearly means there is a calculated plot to target Asanteman and its heroes.
At a press conference held on Thursday by the Ashanti Regional branch of the NPP, chairman Wontumi, flanked by key party leadership, expressed the need for the people in the region, to respond to insults on prominent Asante individuals with massive votes for the party.
Like many other discerning minds in the region, the NPP Regional chairman maintained that Former President Kuffuor remains an embodiment of inspiration to many people, and that any attempt to belittle him will receive a much counter attack.
He said, Asanteman will not be cowed into submission and will fiercely resist any attempt to frustrate and denigrate Asanteman.
According to Wontumi, Ghanaians have seen through what will become of Asanteman, should they make a mistake and return John Mahama and his NDC to the corridors of power.
In an appeal, chairman Wontumi charged Ghanaians to make it a Patriotic duty and retain the NPP in the upcoming elections.
