The Member of Parliament elect for the Adansi Akrofuom constituency, Joseph Azumah, has reassured his constituents to deliver developmental projects to transform the area
According to the MP elect when speakingin an interview with OTEC NEWS Bismark Appiah Kubi, he claims that he is already making plans to help his constituents even before he officially assumes office after the swelling in on December 6
He underlined that he is extremely driven to fulfill his commitments to the public, particularly in light of the fact that his presidential candidate, John Mahama, also won the election.
He disclosed that the previous NPP MP’s have always neglected and taken the people of Adansi Akrofuom for granted because they believed they would easily win against any NDC candidate who contested them
Mr Azumah believes that the people’s decision to vote for him was influenced by the developmental projects he has already initiated in the area, even when he was not the Memeber of Parliament for the area
He noted that some projects started by the NDC government in the past were overlooked by the current administration, and he expressed his desire to see such projects through to completion in order to elevate the underprivileged constituency to a respectable level.
He also promised to ensure there’s unity among all party supporters and promised to deliver as he promised the people of Adansi Akrofuom
Additionally, Hon. Joseph Azumah advised NDC supporters to refrain from using violence against opposition members.
According to him, the NDC will make sure the NPP government is held accountable for any loot and shares it receives, and it will do it legally.
The incumbent MP, Mr Alex Blankso, had occupied the seat for the NPP since 2016, when the then MP Mr Appiah Pinkrah, who was also an NPP candidate stepped down
Mr Azumah, a former Presiding Member of the Adansi South District Assembly and a Law Student, polled 10,103 as against the 8,589 obtained by the incumbent, Mr Alex Blankson
