President Mahama Seeks Asantehene’s Support to Address Ghana’s Economic Challenges

The President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has called on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to lend his support in addressing Ghana’s pressing economic challenges.
The appeal was made during the Akwasi Dae festival in the Ashanti region, held at the Manhyia Palace, as part of the President’s visit to the Ashanti Region on Sunday.
President Mahama acknowledged the Asantehene’s influence and leadership, highlighting the critical role of traditional leaders in mobilizing communities and fostering unity during difficult times.
He emphasized the importance of partnership between the government and traditional authorities in encouraging resilience and fostering collaboration.
The President outlined his administration’s initiatives to stabilize the economy, including reforms, investments in agriculture, and job creation programs.
He praised Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s dedication to the welfare of the Ashanti Region and the nation as a whole, acknowledging his vital role in fostering peace, supporting development initiatives, and offering counsel on matters of national importance.
President Mahama reiterated his commitment to completing unfulfilled projects in the Ashanti Region during his tenure, demonstrating his administration’s focus on driving progress and development in the region.
