This warning comes after a devastating fire outbreak at Gyinase near Atonsu in the Ashanti Region claimed the lives of a nurse and her three children.
According to DOII Peter Addai, Public Relations Officer for GNFS in the Ashanti Region, the focus should not only be on preventing thieves from accessing properties, but also on incorporating alternative escape routes and safety measures.
Addai in an interview with OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng on Tuesday stressed the importance of embracing technologies that provide additional safety features, urging the public to take cue from such measures.
The GNFS’s warning serves as a stark reminder of the importance of prioritizing safety and security in building design.
By incorporating multiple safety exits and alternative escape routes, individuals can significantly reduce the risk of injury or death in the event of a fire or other disaster.
