Aspirant of the Ashanti Regional Council of State elections Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo, has expressed a strong disappointment in the newly appointed Ashanti Regional Minister for the cause of chaos in the electoral process
Nana Nkansah Boadu , who doubles as the Chief of Agric Nzema of the Ashanti Region, accused the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, for the pandemonium at the Regional Coordinating Council, citing the Regional Minister’s assertion to prevent him from winning the election
This comes after a number of media personnel were attacked and sustained severe injuries after being attacked by some machomen during the sorting out of votes by the Electoral Commission during the Council of State election at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council.
The injured media personnel were later identified to have come from ANGEL, LAWSON, OYEREPA, EZRA,and GHANAWEB .
The rest members of the media had to run for their lives due to the inhuman actions of the incident
Narrating his ordeal on OTEC FM News in Kumasi, Nana Nkansah Boadu condemned the actions of the Machomen, describing it as disgraceful and undemocratic, actions which led many stranded and traumatized at the RCC premises
He further stated that the Ashanti Regional Minister has asserted that he will keep him from winning the Council of State elections in the Ashanti Region
“The Ashanti Regional Minister has vowed to prevent me from the Council of State ambition,” Nana Nkansah Boadu accused the Minister
He underscored the danger that such acts by Machomen and politicians pose to the security of those who wish to take part in the nation’s elections.
He also called on all stakeholders that matter to condemn such behaviors in electioneering processes to prevent it from escalating.
