A/R: Esaso residents left homeless after heavy rainstorm

Residents of Esaso in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District have been left homeless after a heavy rainstorm tore off rooftops and caused significant destruction.

The rainstorm, which hit the community on the night of March 24, 2025, around 9:00 PM, left several families stranded as their homes were severely damaged.

According to residents, the strong winds accompanying the heavy rainfall ripped off the roofs of many houses, exposing families to the harsh weather.

Several belongings, including furniture, clothing, and electrical appliances, were destroyed due to the downpour.
Many affected residents described the situation as unbearable, especially for children and the elderly who have nowhere to seek shelter explaining that the situation has raised concerns over the safety and well-being of the affected families, as they struggle to cope with the aftermath of the disaster.
The victims expressed their distress, stating that they now live in deplorable conditions with no immediate relief stating that some have sought temporary refuge with neighbors, while others are left helpless.
Residents are urgently appealing to the government, local authorities, and benevolent organizations for support calling for assistance in the form of roofing materials, food, and temporary shelter to help them recover from the devastation and rebuild their homes.
