Adum fire: Shop owners rush to relocate belongings as blaze spreads

Amidst a raging fire outbreak at the Adum Market in Kumasi’s Central Business District, desperate shop owners are hurriedly relocating their belongings to prevent further losses.

The fire, which started in the early hours of Friday, March 21, has rapidly spread to multiple shops, prompting traders to salvage whatever they can before the flames consume their properties.

Many business owners, fearing the worst, have been seen carrying goods and valuables to safer locations as firefighters struggle to contain the inferno.
Eyewitnesses report that the blaze has been difficult to control due to highly flammable materials stored in several shops. The situation has caused chaos in the market, with traders scrambling to secure their investments.

Authorities are yet to determine the cause of the fire, but Fire fighters are working tirelessly to prevent further destruction.

Meanwhile, Ashanti Regional Minister Frank Amoakohene has arrived at the scene to receive a briefing on the situation from security personnel.
