Fire rips through Kwadaso SDA Nursing Training College Hostel; 15 rooms destroyed

A devastating fire outbreak has ravaged the SDA Nursing Training College hostel in Kwadaso, Ashanti Region, leaving over 15 rooms burnt to ashes.

No casualties were recorded; however, a significant amount of GHC10,000 in cash was also destroyed in the unfortunate incident.

Dozens of students have been stranded, with nowhere to sleep, as school authorities work to find alternative accommodation.
According to eyewitnesses in an interview with OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng, the fire broke out on Friday, April 18, 2025.
“Smoke was first spotted coming from one of the rooms, prompting a call to the fire service. Although the firefighters arrived and worked to curb the blaze, some 15 rooms were already engulfed by the fire,” one eyewitness, Mr. Johnson, told OTEC News.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, with the fire service yet to reveal the cause, leaving many questions unanswered.
The incident has left the students in a state of distress, with many now facing an uncertain future.
The college administration and authorities are urged to provide immediate support to the affected students and investigate the cause of the fire.
