Photos: Dr. Frank Amoakohene Rallies Support for MASLOC to Strengthen Grassroots Empowerment in Ashanti Region

In a move to bolster economic empowerment and strengthen grassroots development, Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has held a strategic meeting with the regional leadership and staff of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC).

The engagement focused on enhancing MASLOC’s operational impact, decentralizing their services, and ensuring greater access to financial support for individuals and small businesses across the Ashanti Region.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Amoakohene applauded MASLOC’s ongoing efforts in providing essential microloans to underserved communities and pledged the full backing of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to facilitate smoother operations.

“MASLOC is a lifeline for many small-scale entrepreneurs,” the Minister said. “Our collaboration will focus on expanding their reach to every corner of the region through effective decentralization and continuous capacity building.”

He underscored the need for staff development and skills training as a cornerstone of improved service delivery. The Minister encouraged the MASLOC team to stay committed to professional excellence and innovation in addressing the financing needs of the region’s growing entrepreneurial base.

Special recognition was given to Mr. Prince Atta, Ashanti Regional Manager, and Madam Ophelia Antwi Boasiako, Zonal Manager, for their outstanding leadership and contributions to MASLOC’s mission in the region.

“Their dedication and drive are setting the pace for real impact,” Dr. Amoakohene noted. “Together, we can unlock new opportunities, empower more citizens, and drive inclusive development that touches every district.”
