Sky Train Saga: NIB Tangos With Former GIIF CEO, Solomon Asamoah

Sources close to the National Investigation Bureua(NIB) have hinted  that the former Chief Exexutive Officer(CEO)of the Ghana Infrastructure Investoment Fund (GIIF)   Solomon Asamoah has  told the National Investigators in the alleged use of  two million dollars in acquisition of shares in connnection with the  Sky Train project   was done with approval by the GIIF the Board of Directors in or around  the month of Otober 2018 along with several other proposals.

This is contrary to the assertion by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, that the payment was done without the Board’s approval.

According to the NIB sources, Mr. Asamoah, therefore, argued at a meeting with the NIB Invetigators that due process had been followed before payment was made.

It will be recalled that the Attorney General at a press conference last month reported that Mr. Solomon Asamoah had gone into hiding in Senegal, a claim which was later denied.

The source revealed that the former GIIF CEO is, therefore, claiming that there was no wrongdoing in the payment of the two million dollars to acquire shares in the ÀI Sky Train Consortium.
