New KNUST Governing Council Chairman expresses gratitude to Otumfuo, pledges commitment

The newly appointed Chairman of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST’s) Governing Council, Akyeamfuo Asafo Boakye Agyemang-Bonsu, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, for his support and guidance.
As Akyeamfuo Agyemang is also the Asafo Hene and Akwamuhene to Otumfuo, he acknowledged the monarch’s role in facilitating his appointment and the university’s growth.
In an exclusive interview with OTEC News reporter, Sarkodie Samuel, Akyeamfuo Baah pledged to work tirelessly to advance KNUST’s mission, promoting academic excellence and innovation.
He emphasized the importance of fostering partnerships with stakeholders, including traditional leaders, industries, and government, to drive the university’s development.
The Chairman is committed to upholding the highest standards of governance, ensuring KNUST remains a premier institution in Ghana and beyond. “I’m grateful for Otumfuo’s wisdom and leadership,” he stated.
The council and I will ensure we work diligently to elevate KNUST to new heights, serving the nation and the global community,” he stated.
Akyeamfuo Baah also urged students to take their studies seriously, emphasizing that it would secure a better future for them.
