Ten (10) National Security Officers Lock Out KATH HR Director… But Latter Remains Defiant

On Tuesday morning, around 8am, about Ten (10) persons who claimed to be from the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) stormed the precincts of the Human Resource Directorate of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
Not long after beeing seen, the officers forcefully entered into the office of the secretary and demanded the whereabouts of the Director, Reverend Anthony Kofi Oduro, the Human Resource Manager.
After a brief session with the secretary, the men ordered the former out of her office and locked the doors including the main one to the directorate.
In addition, the officers put a big chain lock on the main gate to the Director’s office.
Details:
However as at the time of filing this report around 2pm, Reverend Oduro popularly known at KATH as “Tony” was seen with some staff and security at KATH holding sophisticated hammers.
Upon reaching the main gate to the Directorate, the security persons were seen breaking off the locks put around the gates and doors by the officers who claimed to be from the NIB.
Meanwhile, there were posters on the Directorate that seemed to suggest some staff were happy their boss had been locked out.
Some of the posters read “We cannot work under a corrupt leader, KATH Worker deserve better, Tony Musy Go”.
Another also read, “Workers working under a toxic environment. Withdraw your services now or face our wrath, Tony Must Go, KATH deserves better”.
Background:
On 7th April, 2025 management of KATH in a resolution, handed down a one month suspension to Rev Anthony Kofi Oduro for acts contrary to the code of conduct at the premier facility.
This follows Mr Oduro’s own admission of engaging in an illegality by printing employment forms without the permission of management.
The Reverend Minister and HR Director also went ahead to sell the forms to make money.
Based on this, management after investigations and a subsequent query including an emergency meeting sitting suspended Rev Oduro on two counts of engaging in illegality and secondly selling employment forms meant to be given freely.
