Photos: One Dead in  Fuel Station Fire Incident At Ejura

A devastating fire incident occurred on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at an uncompleted fuel station in Ejura Babasso, near the cemetery, claiming the life of a 25-year-old man.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) received a distress call at approximately 12:25 pm and swiftly dispatched a fire crew to the scene.

The fire crew, led by Station Officer I Daniels Moah, arrived at the scene within six minutes and battled the raging fire, bringing it under control within 10 minutes and fully extinguishing it at 12:55 pm.

Unfortunately, the fire had already engulfed the uncompleted structure, and Ali Abubakari, who was at the scene, lost his life.

The GNFS in a press release signed by the Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer DO2 Peter Addai said they are  actively investigating the cause of the fire

 The release  urged the public to refrain from storing or dispensing petroleum products in unauthorized or unsafe structures.

The charred body of the deceased has been handed over to the Ejura Police Command for further investigation.

The GNFS extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and reaffirms its commitment to protecting lives and property through timely and professional emergency response.
