Party youth executives pick flagbearer forms for Bryan Acheampong

A group of youthful New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives has picked nomination forms for Dr. Bryan Acheampong to contest in the party’s flagbearership race.

The team visited the NPP national headquarters in Accra to complete the process before presenting the forms to Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, former Tema West MP and Campaign Manager for Dr. Acheampong.

Mr. Ahenkorah described the gesture as a strong vote of confidence in Dr. Acheampong’s leadership ambitions.

“This is not just about picking forms; it’s about the future of the NPP and Ghana,” he said. “When the youth take this initiative, it shows they believe in a leader who can unite our party, deliver on his promises, and secure victory in 2028.”

He assured the group that the campaign would focus on unity, competence, and results for both party and country.

Some members of the delegation cited Dr. Acheampong’s track record in public service—particularly in the agriculture sector—his discipline, and effective leadership as reasons for their support.

They expressed confidence in his strategic vision to lead the party to victory in the next general elections.

The move by the youth is seen as giving Dr. Acheampong early momentum, particularly among grassroots members who are pivotal in internal contests.

With the nomination process now underway, attention turns to how contenders will win over delegates ahead of the party’s primaries in January 2026.
