Return Helicopter crash wreckage and items for cash reward – RCC appeals to locals

The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) is appealing to the public to return items retrieved from the helicopter crash site that occurred on August 6, 2025.

Intelligence gathered by the ARCC indicates that some residents who were first at the scene picked up parts of the helicopter and other belongings.

The ARCC is urging anyone in possession of any part of the helicopter or belongings to return them, including metals, screws, wires, or boards. Items can be handed over to the Unit Committee, Assembly Member, Municipal or District Chief Executives, or any member of the investigating team on the ground.

In a press release Saturday August 9, 2025, signed by the Ashanti Regional Minister Hon Dr Frank Amoakohene, a reward is offered for any person who willingly returns any item.

This offer according to the release is valid until August 11, 2025.

After this date, anyone found in possession of such items will be deemed a criminal and will face the full rigor of the law.

The general public is hereby notified to cooperate with the authorities and return any items retrieved from the crash site.

A tragic helicopter crash occurred on August 6, 2025, claiming the lives of several prominent individuals, including two cabinet ministers.

The incident has sparked widespread shock and grief across the nation, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash.
