Hundreds of fetish priests have taken over the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi as Asanteman lays the late Asante Queen, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, to rest.

The priests, comprising men, women, are showcasing their deep-rooted belief in Asante traditions and culture as they pay their respects to the revered queen mother.

The traditional priests, adorned in their distinctive priestly attire, have been at the palace for the past 24 hours, waiting to pay their last respects to the late queen.

Their presence is a testament to the significant role traditional leaders play in Asante culture and the respect accorded to the Asantehemaa.

The late Asantehemaa has been laid in state at the palace, and the funeral rites are spanning four  days.
