Kumasi Traders Feed Sympathizers at Asantehemaa’s Funeral

Traders within the Kumasi Metropolis have extended a heartfelt gesture to sympathizers attending the funeral of the late Asantehemaa, distributing free food to all who gathered to pay their respects.

The initiative, according to the Market Queen Mother, Nana Yaa Forwaa, was aimed at making sympathizers feel welcomed and comfortable as they joined in consoling the Asantehene and Asanteman.
She explained that the gesture reflects the traders’ appreciation for the opportunity to serve as Queen Mothers of the markets within the Metropolis.
Nana Yaa Forwaa emphasized that the traders consider their service an act of loyalty to the Asantehene and the entire kingdom.
She noted that since all products and goods within the markets symbolically belong to the Asantehemaa, it was only right to share these foods freely at her funeral grounds.
