Police-Media Collaboration Key to Combating Crime in Ashanti Region – DCOP Teye-Cudjoe

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has highlighted the importance of collaboration with the media in combating crime in the region.

According to DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, the timely and accurate information sharing from journalists has been instrumental in averting numerous criminal activities.

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony of the Ashanti Regional Executives of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), on Thursday, DCOP Teye-Cudjoe emphasized that the work of journalists has improved public safety, making the region peaceful.

He assured that the police will continue to build on this partnership for effective protection of lives and properties.

“We in the police service remain committed to building even stronger relationships with the media,” he said, urging journalists to continue working in the interest of the country and educating the masses on public safety.
