Ejurahene lists over 15 major infrastructure projects, other humanitarian works

The Chief of Ejura Divisional Council, Barimah Osei Hwedie II, has highlighted over 15 major infrastructural projects undertaken since assuming his role as Ejurahene.
Speaking at the climax of the Ejura Sekyerene Festival on October 11, 2025, he attributed his success to the support of Ejurahemaa Nana Akua Tiwaa II and his council of elders.
The Ejurahene detailed some of the notable projects, including the construction of a fence wall around the Ejura Government Hospital, a six-bedroom bungalow for the Medical Superintendent, and a seven-unit bungalow for the Ghana National Fire Service.
Additionally, he mentioned the construction of classroom blocks and office complexes, such as an ultra-modern office complex for the Ejura Divisional Police Headquarters valued at 3.2 million Ghana Cedis.
“Some of the other projects initiated by the Ejurahene include the release of 640 acres of land to the Ghana Prison Service and the setup of a military detachment camp to curb crime in the area” .He said.
“The traditional council has also partnered with organizations to construct an ultra-modern market complex and a maternity unit at the Ejura Government Hospital”.
Barimah Osei Hwedie II also highlighted humanitarian efforts, including scholarships for students and financial support for security agencies.
He emphasized the importance of development projects that bring security, jobs, income, and improved living standards.
The Ejurahene expressed gratitude to his subjects for their support and urged them to continue working together towards the development of Ejura.
He acknowledged the significance of the Yam Festival, which brings people together to reflect, give thanks, and set new agendas for development.
The Ejurahene’s leadership has been praised by residents, who appreciate his commitment to improving living standards and providing essential services.
