Fire destroys China City Mall in Kumasi; multimillion-dollar property reduced to ashes
A deadly fire has engulfed the warehouse of the newly opened China City Mall at Santasi in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region.
The inferno, which broke out on the afternoon of Thursday, October 30, 2025, is reportedly destroying properties worth hundreds of cedis.
According to reports, the fire is yet to be contained, with fire officers still battling to douse the flames.
Although fire officers have been deployed to the scene, there is likelihood that the main mall could be destroyed if the fire is not brought under control.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the destruction are yet to be determined as firefighters continue to combat the blaze.
