KMA Clinic re-opened after resolving licensing issues

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) and the Metro Health Directorate are have  announced that the KMA Clinic has resumed operations after being temporarily closed by the Health Facility Regulatory Authority (HeFRA) on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

The closure was due to licensing discrepancies, which have since been resolved between KMA and HeFRA.

KMA in a press release on Thursday October 16,2026 said the clinic has been fully operational since Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure and assure the public of our commitment to providing quality and reliable healthcare services to the people of Kumasi,” said Henrienca A.K. Aboagye, Public Relations Officer.

“We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of all stakeholders and look forward to continuing to serve the community,” she added.

The management is committed to ensuring that the clinic meets the required standards and provides excellent healthcare services to the public.
