OTEC FM is a shining example of resilience and excellence in Ghana’s media landscape – Manhyia South MP

The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Hon. Lawyer Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, has praised OTEC FM as a beacon of resilience and excellence in the media industry.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on the station’s morning show, Nyansapo, on Monday, the MP highlighted the pioneering role of OTEC FM as one of the first private radio stations in Ghana.

According to Hon. Awuah, the story of OTEC FM’s birth and growth is a testament to the power of innovation and determination.

“Looking at how the late founder of OTEC, Mr. Oppong Twumasi, set up this station, I will be sad if we as Ghanaians fail to tell the world about this historic adventure,” he emphasized.

The MP believes that OTEC FM’s success is a reflection of the capabilities of the average Ghanaian willing to make an impact.

“OTEC FM represents the saying that, given the chance, a black man can also achieve unimaginable feats,” he noted.

Hon. Awuah further stressed that OTEC FM’s significance extends beyond its role as a radio station, representing a story that needs to be told.

“So looking at the originality of OTEC FM, it represents more than a radio station, a story that needs attention,” he added.

The MP also suggested that OTEC FM’s historic significance could be leveraged as a tourism attraction, allowing people to witness the pioneering spirit of Ghana’s private media industry.
