We fully support Sam George on value upgrade – MultiChoice apologizes FAQs error

MultiChoice Ghana has issued a public clarification, stating that they fully support the government’s recently announced DStv value upgrade adding that the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) earlier published on its website created a misleading impression of contradictions regarding the initiative.
The company stressed that implementation of the agreement is already underway. Indicating that, “we apologise for any inconvenience the FAQs may have caused,” the company stated.
The clarification follows a recent joint press conference involving the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, the National Communications Authority (NCA), MultiChoice Africa, and MultiChoice Ghana.

The company responded to public concerns triggered by a set of FAQs published on its website, which seemed to contradict key points made during the joint media engagement.
In the statement, MultiChoice Ghana reaffirmed its full support for the joint press release presented by Hon. Samuel Nartey George and confirmed that the implementation of the new measures is already underway.
A major point of clarification is that there are no limitations on a customer’s choice of bouquet.
The value offering applies equally to new, returning, and existing subscribers beginning October 1, 2025.
MultiChoice Ghana also stated that a joint committee will reconvene in three months to review the impact of the initiative.
The company concluded with an apology for the earlier miscommunication and reassured customers of its dedication to transparency and better service delivery.
