Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation commissions new teachers’ bungalow at St. Louis SHS

The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation has commissioned a newly constructed four-bedroom teachers’ bungalow for St. Louis Senior High School in Kumasi.

The facility, which can accommodate four teachers, was officially handed over to the school at a ceremony held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at the school’s premises.

Speaking on behalf of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Board Chairperson of the Foundation, Otumfuo Hiahene Nana Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene II, said the project was undertaken after realizing the school’s pressing need for teacher accommodation.

He explained that inadequate housing for teachers negatively affects supervision and academic performance.
Nana Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei noted that the four teachers moving into the bungalow will join the 30 already on campus, bringing the total to 34 still below the target of housing at least half of the staff on the school premises.
He assured the school community that, with continued support from the Ghana National Gas Company which financed the project and the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, more infrastructure will be provided to improve teaching and learning conditions at St. Louis Senior High School
The Headmistress of St. Louis Senior High School, Mrs. Ama Kyerewa Benefo, has expressed profound gratitude to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
“We are also grateful to the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation for constructing a new teachers’ bungalow, the facility will help accommodate more teachers on campus to enhance discipline and ensure effective supervision of students” She said .
