QNET, EOCO caution public against faudulent recruitment and job offers

QNET, in collaboration with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), has organized a media engagement in Kumasi to caution the public that the company does not engage in recruitment or offer job opportunities.

The engagement comes in the wake of a recent EOCO led operation in Kumasi, which led to the arrest of 320 individuals linked to a QNET related fraud case.

Speaking at the event held at Lancaster Hotel on Friday, November 7, 2025, the Head of Compliance at QNET, Madam Theodocia Naana Quartey, clarified that the company is not involved in providing employment, travel opportunities, or scholarships, as often falsely claimed by scammers.

“Our services are purely product based,” she explained. “We deal in items such as watches, health supplements, water filtration systems, educational materials, and other personal development products.”

Madam Quartey urged Ghanaians to remain vigilant and cautious when approached with enticing offers, stressing the need to verify and investigate before accepting any job or travel opportunity.

On his part, the Anti- human trafficking unit of EOCO, Mr. Dominic Mensah, called on the public to cooperate with EOCO in identifying and reporting fraudulent activities across the country.

He emphasized that public support is essential in the fight against organized scams and assured that EOCO remains committed to clamping down on such operations to protect innocent citizens from exploitation.
