Ashanti Regional Police: Police assure of enhanced security to obviate crime before and after the festive season

Ashanti Regional Police have launched an enhanced security plan for Christmas, aiming to ease traffic and tackle crime.

DCOP Arthur Osei Akoto urged the public to share timely tips to help keep the festive season safe.

He said the police have intensified vehicular, motorbike, and horse (K9 Unit) patrols, especially within the Kumasi Metropolis, to ensure a secure environment before and after the yuletide

According to him, the police are conducting operations based on intelligence and have deployed personnel for a special, classified security operation in the region.

DCOP Arthur infurtherance, stressed the primary aim of the plan is to ease traffic flow. The police commander urged drivers to adhere to road traffic regulations to avoid congestion and accidents.
