A/R: One killed, 2 injured in Breku forest accident
A tragic road accident occurred at Breku Forest near the Pra River on the Accra-Kumasi Highway claiming one life and leaving two others injured.
A Howo Sinotruk truck, registered as AS-4114-24, loaded with cement overturned, trapping three persons.
The unfortunate accident according to a report by the Ghana National Fire Service GNFS occured on Sunday January 25,2026.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded swiftly to the emergency, with a combined rescue team from Konongo-Odumase and Juaso arriving at the scene.
Led by Siaw Richardson, the team successfully extricated two injured victims, who were then conveyed to Juaso Government Hospital by an Ambulance Service vehicle, GV-589-20.
The deceased person was retrieved from the wreckage and handed over to the Police.
The Howo truck suffered serious damage to its head, and the cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
The GNFS has commended the professionalism, bravery, and swift response of its personnel in saving lives.
