NSA releases PIN codes for 6,867 nurses and midwives for 2026/27 service year

The National Service Authority (NSA) has released Personal Identification Number (PIN) codes for 6,867 eligible nurses and midwives to enable them to enrol for the 2026/27 National Service Year.
In a statement issued on Monday, January 19, 2026, the Authority said the PIN codes were generated after the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana submitted a list of qualified candidates on Friday, January 16, 2026.
The Authority explained that the list “comprises candidates who successfully passed the March/April 2025 Licensing Examinations (minor season) conducted by the Council.”
The statement urged all eligible nurses and midwives to access their PIN codes online.
“All eligible trained Nurses and Midwives are requested to visit the Authority’s website and click on the portal to access their PIN codes using their respective Student ID numbers and dates of birth,” the NSA said.
As part of the registration process, applicants are required to pay a fee.
“Prospective Service Personnel are to note that a registration fee of GH¢41.00 must be paid via Mobile Money across all networks to gain access to the enrolment platform,” the statement noted.
The enrolment exercise officially begins on January 19 and ends on January 23, 2026. Management of the Authority therefore “urges all prospective National Service Personnel to complete their online registration within the stipulated period.”
The NSA further reminded the public that national service is a legal requirement. “In accordance with the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen who is eighteen (18) years or older and has completed an accredited tertiary institution is mandated by law to undertake national service to the State,” the statement added.
