One year into office: President Mahama exceeds expectations- Kumasi Traders

Some traders in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital, have commended President John Dramani Mahama for his performance in the first year of office.
The traders have observed the president has performed more than expected extolling him for his good works
They attribute the stability of the exchange rate to his effective leadership, which has benefited traders and the economy.
Speaking to OTEC News Reporter Asare Diana on January 7, 2026, traders gave President Mahama an average score of 60 out of 100 percent, with one trader saying, “I will give him 70 if you ask me; now the cedi has gained stability, helping traders work without losing much money”.
Another trader emphasized that food prices have decreased compared to previous years, attributing this to President Mahama’s efforts in stabilizing the cedi.
They expressed hope for continued economic growth.
Meanwhile, President Mahama hosted a non-denominational thanksgiving service at the Jubilee House in Accra, themed “Resetting,Rebuilding, Renewing.”
The ceremony reflected on the country’s stability and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to national renewal and governance.
