Fidelity Bank donates GH¢50,000 to support GJA press center project

Fidelity Bank has donated GH¢50,000 to the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) to support the construction of a press center in the Ashanti Region.
The bank handed over a check to the leadership of the Ashanti Regional GJA on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
The General Manager of Fidelity Bank, Julian Opuni presented the check during a one-day training program for journalists in the financial sector, organized by the bank.
“We have received a request from GJA and just as the bank pledged to support, we are donating GH¢50,000 to support your press center project,” he said.
He added, “We value the work and support from journalists not only in the Ashanti Region but across the country, hence our resolve to support such projects.”
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the GJA, Kofi Adu Domfe, received the check on behalf of the association and hailed Fidelity Bank for the support.
“We at GJA in the Ashanti Region have been working on building this press center and the challenge now is financing, so I will say this donation has come at the ideal time,” he said.
Domfe noted that the money will be invested judiciously in the project and urged other stakeholders to support the initiative to bring it to fruition.
