Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah (MP), Ghana’s Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Acting Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, has arrived in South Africa to represent Ghana at the 2026 African Mining Indaba Conference — the continent’s premier mining investment and policy forum.

The annual event brings together government officials, global mining companies, investors and regulators to build partnerships, shape mining policy, attract investment and promote sustainable development in Africa’s extractive industries.

Leading Ghana’s delegation, Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah will take part in high-level dialogues and strategic engagements aimed at addressing the key challenges facing the mining sector.

A highlight of Ghana’s participation will be the highly-anticipated “Ghana Day” event, scheduled for Wednesday, 11 February 2026, where the country is expected to showcase its investment potential and achievements as Africa’s leading gold producer. The event will provide a platform for Ghana to deepen interest and partnerships in its mining and natural resource sector.

Ghana’s involvement at this year’s conference reflects the strategic vision of President John Dramani Mahama to expand global partnerships and attract targeted investment into the nation’s mining industry.
