Manso Nkwanta MP launches scholarship scheme to support needy students

The Member of Parliament for Manso Nkwanta Constituency, Hon. Tweneboa Kodua Fokuo, has officially launched the Tweneboa Kodua Fokuo Scholarship Scheme aimed at improving access to quality education in the Amansie West District.

The initiative is designed to support needy but brilliant students whose parents face financial challenges

The scholarship scheme will provide financial support to tertiary students including students in nursing training institutions, universities, colleges of education, other tertiary institutions and related programms.

Speaking at the launch on Monday, February 3, 2026, at the Manso Atwere Methodist School, Hon. Fokuo explained that many talented students in the Manso Nkwanta area are unable to achieve their academic goals due to lack of funds.
He said it is his personal ambition to ensure that such students are given the needed support to continue their education.
Hon. Fokuo further disclosed that the scholarship scheme is financed from his personal resources, stressing his commitment to investing in human capital development within the constituency.
He encouraged beneficiaries to study hard and remain disciplined so they can give back to the constituency in the future.
Beneficiaries and their parents expressed heartfelt gratitude to the MP for the timely intervention, describing the scholarship as a major relief to their financial burden.
They noted that the support will ease their stress and enable students to focus fully on their studies to achieve academic success.
