Nkenkenso SHS Senior Housemaster suspended for cursing on 3 female students over gossips

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has suspended Mr. Akwasi Opoku, also known as Striker, the Senior House Master of Nkenkenso Senior High School, following his involvement in a curse on three female students.

The students had allegedly spread rumors about Opoku, prompting him to invoke a curse on them.

The curse was reportedly reversed by Opoku’s mother, a chief priest, at a cost of over 3000 cedis to the students.

The school’s management has condemned Opoku’s actions, describing them as “unprofessional” and damaging to the school’s reputation.

In a press release issued on February 24, 2026, the school’s management stated that it had reviewed Opoku’s conduct and decided to suspend him pending further investigations.

“Your behavior in this case is considered unprofessional and has brought the name of the School and GES into disrepute,” the statement read.

Opoku has been asked to step aside as Senior House Master and hand over all school documents and materials in his possession to the Assistant Headmaster with immediate effect.

The GES is conducting an investigation into the matter.

The incident has sparked widespread concern about the conduct of teachers and the welfare of students in Ghanaian schools.

The Ghana Education Service is expected to take disciplinary action against Opoku if found guilty of misconduct.
