Valentine: OTEC FM, By Grace Medical Center organize life-saving health screening for listeners
Renowned media firm, OTEC FM, in collaboration with By Grace Medical Center, has organized a sponsored medical screening for listeners, dubbed “Good Health and Love”.
The event, which was the second edition, aimed to show love to its listeners and promote healthy living.
Held on February 13, 2026, at the forecourt of OTEC FM in Asawase, a suburb of the Kumasi Metropolis, the event saw hundreds of listeners turn up for the screening.
OTEC FM and By Grace Hospital absorbed 50% of all screening costs for participants.
The screening covered various medical conditions, including diabetes, cholesterol level, kidney function test, liver function test, eye problems, and High Vagina swab, among others.
Speaking to the media, Kate Appiah Boateng, Public Relations Officer for By Grace Medical Center and host of OTEC FM’s Apomuden Ahotoso Show, emphasized the importance of regular health checks.
“This is the second edition of this all-important event, and our target is to help listeners live with strong health,” she said.
She commended participants for their show of love and patronage, adding that the numbers were encouraging.
Participants enjoyed jazz music and received gifts from the organizers.
Many praised OTEC FM for the initiative, noting that it helped them detect underlying health issues.
They encouraged the organizers to continue hosting such programs to support the public.
