Lady Julia treats orphans to easter cheer, reiterates commitment to revitalize Kumasi Children’s Park

The Wife of Asantehene, Her Royal Highness Lady Julia Osei Tutu, has organized a joyous Easter party for over 400 orphans in the Ashanti Region.

The event, held at the site of the proposed Kumasi Children’s Park at Amakom was under the auspices of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation

Held on Monday April 6,2026 the event was also a move by Lady Julia to announce to the world her commitment to revitalizing the park for the children.

Lady Julia took time to interact with the children, sharing food, drinks, and chocolates.

 Addressing the gathering, she emphasized the importance of caring for children in orphanage homes.

 “These children will soon take the leadership mantle and lead the country in different areas and posts, hence they deserve the best of treatment, love, and training,” she said.

Lady Julia also announced her resolution to revitalize the Kumasi Children’s Park, a project she believes will play a vital role in shaping the region’s children.

 “We have for years organized such parties, and I hope we do it better next year to put smiles on their faces again,” she added.

Board Chairman of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, Oheneba Boakyea Woahene Agyei, commended Lady Julia for her love and care for the children.

 He reiterated the foundation’s commitment to supporting the park’s revitalization, noting its potential to positively impact the region’s children.

The foundation is calling on all stakeholders to support the completion of the children’s park, a project that promises to provide a safe space for children to learn and grow.
