Big Push: Kofi Job completes first phase of Tepa-Marban-Goaso road 15 months ahead of schedule

Kofi Job Construction Limited has completed the first phase of the Tepa-Maban-Goaso road project with 15 months remaining of the 24-month completion period.

The Project Director for the company, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, says the 22-kilometre first phase, which stretches from Maban, is 93 percent complete just 9 months after actual works began.

The entire Tepa-Maban-Goaso road project, which starts from the outskirts of Maban community to the bridge on River Goa, covers a total length of 39 kilometres.

Mr. Aduomi explained that although the project started in May 2024, it was migrated onto government’s Big Push Agenda in December 2025, with actual construction commencing on January 7, 2026.

According to him, the feat was achieved despite major engineering challenges, including treating 4.4 kilometres of swampy area to prevent underground water from penetrating upwards to destroy the road.

“The road is very strong enough to stand the test of time as all engineering problems have been duly solved,” he stated,

He added that 15-metre concrete drains have been constructed on both sides to intercept water, with 70 millimetre asphaltic concrete binder spread from drain to drain and 50 millimetre wearing course on the carriage area.

He noted that works left on the first phase include road signs, markings and crash barriers, while the Ministry of Roads and Highways has written to the Ministry of Finance for commencement certification for the second phase.
