Couples advised to seek medical assistance for child bearing
A Gynecologist and Obstetrician at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Dr Ernest Kwarko has advised couples to seek medical assistance in search of children , instead of resorting to spiritual assistance.
According to Dr Kwaako who is also Public Interest Advocate, child bearing among couples have its own interpretations ,which have different variables like low sperm counts , infections of the womb among others of which most of the religions and spiritual leaders have no knowledge about.
Speaking at a three day sensitization programme for marriage couples and prospective couples organized by Calvary Temple Assemblies of God Church at Bantama , Kumasi,Dr Kwaako warned couples not to allow childless in marriages to create tension adding that, what God has put together no one should put it asunder.
‘’When couples try to have children and cannot, then the biblical call to trust God means following His leading. It may mean pursuing medical treatment. Or building your family through adoption. Or choosing to live without children to free up energies for Kingdom work’’.
THE Ace Gynecologist charged the enthusiastic congregants that, God does not expect us all to have children. God doesn’t even mandate that every fertile Christian couple must have children, or that every infertile couple must adopt but we should not dismiss the idea of parenthood for selfish reasons or for the sole purpose of worldly gain.
Dr Ernest Kwaako , a regular radio commentator explained that, instead of allowing childless situation to separate couples, they should resort to “adoption of child” as Jesus Christ adopted Mankind as his own and exhibited agape love to enable them obtain divine providence.
