Kumasi: Three burnt alive in Anloga junction accident (Video + photos)

Three people on Thursday November 4, 2020 burnt to death after the tricycle they were traveling in collided with a trailer at Anloga Junction in Kumasi.
According to eyewitnesses, the tricycle, locally called Pragya was crossing the airport intersection road, when the trailer driver lost control of his brakes.
Speaking to OTEC FM’s Isaac Nsiah Foster, some eye witnesses testified the three deceased travellers from Accra who were in VIP bus alighted at Anloga Junction.

According to some eye witnesses on their way to their destination were heading towards Aboabo road after boarding the RESHOR try motor car (Adedeta), around 8pm.
The incident involved a Hyundai vehicle with registration number GC-3897-20 and a tricycle, popularly known as ‘Pragya’.

The deceased, a woman and a kid believed to be her child and another young man were all in the tricycle. They have all been burnt beyond recognition.
According to some eye witnesses on their way to their destination were heading towards Aboabo road after boarding the RESHOR try motor car (Adedeta), around 8pm.

They further disclosed the RESHOR try motor car driver used one way which unfortunately crashed with the KIA bus.
The impact was such that the KIA bus that failed break caught fire and whereas the driver behind the wheel trying to avoid more casualties knocked down one person at Oforikrom who also died instantly.

“We were here then we saw the KIA bus running over the RESHOR try motor car (Adedeta), which has fully loaded with three passengers, is burning, in trying to quench the fire, we used five extinguishers but couldn’t quench the fire they all got burnt” eye witness recounts.
The bodies have been conveyed to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), while Police have initiated investigation into the matter.
The police are yet to give a statement on the incident.
