COVID-19: Be cautious – Akufo-Addo urges Ghanaians ahead of Christmas festivities

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has asked Ghanaians “to err on the side of caution and observe the COVID-19 safety protocols” as they celebrate the Christmas festivities.
“Until then, and with barely a week to the Christmas festivities, which bring in its wake family reunions, parties and many social and religious gatherings, I urge all of us to err on the side of caution, and observe the COVID-19 safety protocols no matter where we find ourselves,” the President said.
President Akufo-Addo addressed the nation for the 20th time since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in mid-March this year on Sunday, 20 December 2020.
He however stressed that the country’s land and sea borders remain closed to human traffic till further notice.
Beaches, pubs cinemas and night clubs are still closed till further notice.
