Nsuta Kwaman Beposo MP Presents over 100 Start-up Machines to Constituents
The Member of Parliament for Nsuta Kwaman Beposo in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Adelaide Yaa Agyeiwaa Ntim, has presented start-up machines to over 100 seamstresses and barbers in her constituency.
The Deputy Health Minister on Tuesday June 18, 2024, presented 50 sewing machines, 25 shaving machines, sterilizers, and hair dryers, estimated at thousands of Ghana cedis.
“The gesture is aimed to provide an alternate livelihood for young men and women in the constituency”, she said during the presentation.
. The MP, emphasized that the support also aimed to reduce the cost of startups who struggle to get on their feet after completing skills training.
Support to TVET schools
Some Senior High Schools (SHS) in the constituency offering TVET programs also benefited from the machines.
The schools received sewing machines to support pragmatic training for students offering textiles.
Hon. Adelaide Ntim Yaa Agyeiwaa pledged her continued support to the constituents for a better living and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the machines and take proper care of them.
TVET investment to reduce unemployment
She emphasized that the government’s investment in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) will help reduce the country’s unemployment rate.
This move of investing in TVET will help equip the youth with hands-on skills, enabling them to become self-employed “. She emphasized.
Beneficiaries Appreciation
The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the MP and promised to use the machines well
