COKA donates wheelchair, cash to a physically challenged in Offinso South

In a heartwarming display of support for grassroots members, Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, also known as COKA, of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has donated a brand new wheelchair, party t-shirts, and an undisclosed amount of money to a physically challenged party footsoldier, Philimon Quarshe.

The 43-year-old Quarshe, a staunch member of the party in the Offinso North Constituency of the Ashanti Region, had requested support for campaign activities due to his physical limitations.

Quarshe’s old wheelchair had become a hindrance to his ability to engage in vigorous campaign activities for the NPP, prompting him to seek assistance from party leaders.

However, his appeals had yielded no results until Chairman COKA stepped in to provide the necessary support.

The donation was presented to Quarshe at Abofo on Thursday, September 5, 2024, with Chairman COKA pledging his commitment to supporting grassroots members who are dedicated to the party’s campaign activities.

Receiving the wheelchair, Quarshe expressed his gratitude to Chairman COKA, stating that the support came as a surprise after his previous appeals to other party leaders had been ignored.

He noted that the new wheelchair will greatly aid his ability to campaign for the party in the area, particularly during a forthcoming campaign rally at Offinso.

Quarshe’s dedication to the NPP despite his physical challenges has earned him recognition and appreciation from party leaders.

Chairman COKA’s gesture is seen as a testament to the NPP’s commitment to supporting its members, regardless of their physical abilities.

The party has consistently demonstrated its dedication to inclusivity and equal opportunities for all members.

The NPP’s efforts to promote inclusivity and support its members with disabilities are commendable and reflect the party’s values of compassion and empathy.
