Kwadwo Baah Agyemang   Supports Presbyterian Demonstration Basic School With Ten(10) Laptops

Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante Akyem North and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Digital Centres Limited (GDCL), Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang has  presented ten (10) laptop computers to the Agogo Presbyterian College of Education (APCE) Demonstration ‘A’ Basic School.

The gesture by the GDCL CEO is in fulfilment of a promise made some time ago when he visited the school, his alma mater.

Background:

The APCE Demonstration ‘A’ School was recently a beneficiary of one of the training centres constructed across the districts in the country by the Education Ministry.

Presentation:

Presenting the laptops on Tuesday in crutches due to an injury he recently sustained, Hon Baah Agyemang expressed happiness

for being able to fulfil his promise to the school.

The laptop computers, he noted would help the students in their studies of the ICT course.

He also said the students by their studies would acquire digital skills which will help them in their education.

“To enable these students at APCE study to become the best in their fields and to conform to digital transformation just as being proposed by Dr Mahamodu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana i decided to support this school with these ten laptop computers today”, Hon Agyemang stated.

Advice:

Hon Baah Agyemang appealed to the school authorities to keep eyes on the laptops so that it can last the students long.

“I advised the teachers not to use the laptop computers for their personal gains or pick the equipments out from the lab for their personal use”, the GDCL CEO admonished.

Appreciation:

The head teacher of the school, Mr Antwi Agyepong thanked the government for constructing the ICT center for the school.

He also commended Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang for fulfilling his promise by supplying the ten laptops.

The Headmaster also promised to use the laptops to impact ICT knowledge to the students.
