Nana Nkansaa Boadu Calls for Independence of the Police Service

Nana Nkansah Boadu,Agric Nzema Hene,has made a pressing call for the independence of the Police Service, emphasizing the need for the institution to operate without undue influence or interference from political parties.
Nana Boadu stressed the importance of allowing the police service to make decisions without external pressures, saying “it’s about time the police service get their independence to do their own thing,”he said.
Speaking on OTEC FM’s Asem Beba Dabi afternoon News, today, February 12, 2025, on the chaotic incident occurred yesterday, February 11, 2025 at Ashanti Regional Council of State Elections at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Nana Nkansah Boadu revealed that the independence of the Police Service could have prevented the chaos.
He indicated that there were about 250 police personnel at the election center yet they could not do anything because they are afraid losing their jobs.
Nana Nkansah Boadu who contested for the for the position further condemned the act of the ‘machomen’, referring to it barbaric, stating that something of this kind should not be tolerated in this country.
Moreover, he entreated president John Dramani Mahama to remember his duty of protecting the lives of Ghanaians and stamp his authority on issues of this kind
