A/R: Two critical after cargo car runs over pragia tricycle
A devastating accident has occurred at Agric Nzema junction in the Kwadaso municipality of the Ashanti region, leaving two people in critical condition.
A delivery cargo car with registration number GT 3029-14 reportedly ran over a pragia tricycle, which had stopped to drop off a passenger.
The pragia tricycle, registered as M-25-AW 9741, was carrying two passengers – the rider and a trader – at the time of the incident.
Some eyewitnesses,in an interview with OTEC News said the pragia tricycle had reached its destination and was attempting to alight the passenger when the cargo car lost control and ran over it.
“I was standing nearby when I heard a loud crash. I turned to see the cargo car on top of the pragia tricycle, and people were screaming. The two people on the tricycle were badly injured,” an eyewitness said.
The injured individuals have been rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, and their conditions are being described as critical.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but witnesses claim that the cargo car’s brakes may have failed, leading to the collision.
